Your instructor
Grand Master Eric Versland
7th Dan, certified Grand Master Instructor. Twenty-five years of teaching in the same community — long enough that some of today's parents were once students on this same floor.
Legacy Karate Academy was founded on a simple idea: a martial arts school should make people better outside the dojang, not just inside it. Classes are traditional — the forms, the terminology, the etiquette are all taught the way they were handed down — but the teaching is patient, modern and built around the student in front of us.
Every student, from the four-year-old white belt to the adult black belt candidate, is asked to live by the same five codes.
- 01Loyalty to your country
- 02Obedience to parents and elders
- 03Respect for instructors and seniors
- 04Be in self control at all times
- 05Never misuse one's art
